Hemp Hero Dr. Jeri Rose - Setting The Record Straight

There is so much mis-information in the modern marijuana movement it's scary some days.  Some folks are profiting handsomely while many of the folks who have been working on this issue for decades are thrown out like old dishwater, called greedy and frauds.  This post is to help set the record straight about hemp hero Dr. Jeri Rose, whose contributed money, skills, ideas, organizational talents, etc. for decades and now lied on terribly by someone who obviously does not know her.

I was reading an article called Narc vs. Narc about the players in the modern medical marijuana game.  I tried posting in the comments section but they refuse to put up my comments in response to the slanderous remarks posted there which can be summarized in one sentence.

“Therefore, Dr. Rose you are a fraud and greedy like the rest of the greedy tribe you are with. You were not even born when we started this movement.” Madeleine Johnson

Here's Madeleine's full post - by the way the man's name, who pioneered Dr. Rose's support in many ways during the last century too, is Jack Herer:

"Shame on you to use Jack Here name. You are not honoring him. If you honored him then his wife, Jeanne Here would not be suffering today. Not one dime of your so called Jack Here Honore money is going toward helping her. The Pioneers should not be the only one to keep her out of poverty. Therefore, Dr. Rose you are a fraud and greedy like the rest of the greedy tribe you are with. You were not even born when we started this movement. In addition you need to take classes from Dr. Abrams at US Berkley to learn the truth about Medical Marihuana.[Historical Note - Dr. Lester Grinspoon has been a marijuana doctor since the 1960's and Dr. Abrams did not graduate from med school until 1977] Dr. Abrams is the real Pioneer doctor of Medical Marihuana and we’ll recognized by the Federal Goverment. You on the other hand is a Quack."

Below is the response (a couple of grammatical corrections from the original) that has not yet been approved by the folks who published the article at The Green Pulpit Narc vs. Narc on July 16, 2014.

'You must not know about Dr. Jeri Rose.  What “we” are you referring to who started this movement since it began with the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937? Since Dr. Rose has been consulted with frequently by many movers and shakers in the medical and industrial marijuana movements, how is she a fraud?  Dr. Rose has not charged anyone I know of in the movement for her constant, accurate advice, so how is she greedy?

I thank God for haters because it’s usually the step before they become appreciators.  The work and other contributions of Dr. Jeri Rose is legendary among many hemp researchers.

Dr. Rose is a hemp activist since 1989 where she worked to get the hemp message onto national television three years in a row by marching in the Doo Dah Parade in 1989, 1990 and 1991.  I’ve known Dr. Rose since 1999 when we met working with Sister Somayah Kambui producing the first Los Angeles Million (now Global) Marijuana March.  Dr. Rose was instrumental in helping Sister Somayah research and organize Somayah’s work with medical marijuana and sickle cell.  Somayah was able to double her life expectancy using marijuana to help manage her sickle cell.  Their work got sickle cell listed on Prop. 215’s list of approved medical conditions for medical marijuana with Somayah’s life standing as proof of the “theory”. Dr. Rose remained an adviser to Somayah way beyond the point of Somayah being the first acquittal of marijuana charges under Prop. 215.

Over the years, I've witnessed since 1999 Dr. Rose has helped many independent activists.  Her generosity in various research communities is priceless.  She is NOT a fraud nor greedy.  My experience of her is she has not taken any money for the work she has done for Jack Herer, Richard M. Davis and countless others in the marijuana movement, Dr. Rose is not greedy and she knows her shit.

Dr. Rose has shared insights with me over the years that expanded the research exponentially.  Her brilliance is instrumental in the works;

Even throughout the years of 2005-9 she helped translate formal scientific concepts for the books by the late USA Hemp Museum’s founder and curator, Richard M. Davis

There are links to the above books as free .pdfs and more that Dr. Rose has been contributing to on the blog page

Keep in mind that’s just the little bit I know about, can testify to from direct experience concerning the impact of her contributions. There are many, many more I’ve only heard of.

In case I failed to make my point, Dr. Jeri Rose is NOT a fraud nor greedy.  She is a good, generous, intelligent soul who has dedicated a large part of her adult life to not only ending the drug war but implementing the hemp solution to many modern problems.  She’s done better than the best she could to accomplish and implement the mission of hemp for victory. I’m learning to accept that for some people no matter what one does it will never be enough.

To understand the greed in the modern marijuana movement, as in has the money and is not sharing it with the folks who helped make it possible resulting in a reality that has some in mansions and others living out of their vans, I suggest a re-read of this excellent article NARC VS. NARC 2: THE CALIFORNIA CANNABIS COUP D’ETAT

Follow the money and please, please, please ask those with funds to support Jeannie HererJeff ClarkDana Beal Consider re-directing the energy put into hating on a soul who gave everything she had in the last century plus, (and is still working the best she can with what she has) into positive steps to end the drug war now. Falsely accusing hemp heroes is a big waste of time and energy.

BTW Madeleine Johnson, your link is not working, and I recommend folks do a search for your name, marijuana. Thank you for the good works you have done to stop the drug war too. Love and prayers to you and yours.'

The video below is of Dr. Rose at Jack Herer's funeral...runs 3:38.-6:58

I, J. Nayer Hardin, founder of and a conductor on the Computer Underground Railroad, stand in gratitude for the decades of hard and brilliant work that Dr. Jeri Rose has contributed to what seems today as a no brainer, stopping the drug war and implementing the hemp solution now.

Los Angeles Global Marijuana March 2014, 16th Annual

UPDATE:
“DON’T BE SCARED”
SISTER SOMAYAH KAMBUI
16th ANNUAL LOS ANGELES GLOBAL MARIJUANA MARCH & RALLY
When:May 3, 2014, 10a gathering at Leimert Park ’till dusk – Get your smoke on!
Event Highlights:10a-12 Noon: Coffee and Reefer (Mud & Bud) in the morningwith like minded souls – Participants available for press interviewsHigh Noon: March Starting at and returning to the park(Construction on Crenshaw Subway makes original route inaccessible)1p: Speakers & Music & Crafts & Foods & Fun & Great Marijuana4-5p: 4:20 Ceremony & Positive Vibes to Achieve Hemp For VictoryEvent Conclusion: Dusk
Why:So we can implement the hemp solution to modern problems.

This year’s historic, 16th Annual Los Angeles Global Marijuana March and Rally is being held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, 10 a.m. – Dusk at Leimert Park.
The last minute change regarding the march was instituted by the City of Los Angeles, who called event producer R. W. Akile on April 30th and said ‘due to construction obstructions caused by building the Crenshaw subway underneath the march route, the traditional path would not be available because of last minute safety issues.’  Their original suggestion was to postpone the march, but the whole purpose is on the same day to unify marijuana activists speaking with one voice about the need to stop the war on drugs so We The People can be free.
So in response, the event is being held at Leimert park starting at 10a with a march in the area beginning at High Noon, returning to the park for part two of the rally.
There is a  Facebook Page for the event in Los Angeles too! As we learn more it will be shared here and elsewhere.
This march is a tradition, a celebration in the greater LA marijuana, hemp, cannabis, pot, weed, ganga, Mary Jane, etc. legalization community.  The event was started and produced by legendary members of the Los Angeles marijuana movement many speaking at the events over the years.

The first Los Angeles Million Marijuana March was produced by the late Sister Somayah KambuiRichard M. Davis and Jim Rosenfield plus many other activists in 1999. The event itself goes back to the great marijuana and Ibogaine freedom fighter Dana Beal's “Million Marijuana March” in New York City, which in response to the magical events there, expanded in this century to become the Global Marijuana/Cannabis March held in hundreds of locations all over the world on the same day. It was Dana who approached Somayah to do the first of the Million Marijuana March series in Los Angeles. Somayah, Richard and Jim worked for the remainder of their lives to keep the annual event going.

Because in great part of the tireless activism of many hemp heroes, some of whom will be producing and at the rallies including R. W. Akile, Jeff Clark, Patrick Moore, Jeanette Perez, Melissa Balin and countless others, many to be listed in future blog posts.  We've come a long way hemp babies, and we still have a long way to go.  Which is why now, with the victories in thee pro legalization states, including this, California, one of the first in the nation to legalize medical marijuana it is important to show up, say your piece, and network with like minded souls.

This year's event is ever bigger in a voice so loud
that as it joins with others around the world
to blow the lid off the drug war
so WE THE PEOPLE OF EARTH can live freely to be our best selves.
CALLING ALL LOS ANGELES, CA HEMPSTERS
BY WHATEVER FORM OF CONSUMPTION!

Sister Somayah use to open up the rallies with her battle cry 'Don't Be Scared.' Dress up or just be comfortable. Come, and bring your friends and hemp plants if so inclined to the 16th Annual Global Marijuana March in Los Angeles or wherever you are on the first Saturday afternoon in May. Know that to do so is in defiance of a law system that wants so much control over our lives they interfere with our right to safely (as in NON-GMO) interact with plants. March in support of the end of the drug war and other non productive policies. If you can’t walk, cars are allowed, especially the theme on target decorated kind.
As shared joints tend to do, new bonds are formed, old ones secured, fun, knowledge and respect shared. Throughout their multi decade history, the marches and rallies thrived in an air of celebration of hemp in all its forms.
This is just an initial post on this year's events.  Checking in with folks and will be posting a lot more between now and May Day.  Just getting started so check back to this blog page for frequent updates.  This is going to be empowering! Get ready to fix this mess of modern society we have created with the hemp solution.
Hemp is an awesome, non toxic technology that we should be using on a grand scale. It is imperative that we implement the hemp solution now i.e. Fukushima, fracking, GMOs, illnesses that cannabis cures, industrial uses (not counting 3D printing filament) via over 50,000 items from hemp bio-fuels, building materials, plastics, papers, foods, oils, dyes, fibers, buds (all of which can be used for 3D printing)…so many life improving & saving capabilities…no wonder it’s illegal. We can change this, we must change this now.
This blog coverage is written by J. Nayer HardinComputer Underground Railroad Ent. The railroad was informally started in 1984 and a NYS corporation since 1996. CURE's mission is to use computers and other technology to help people be free.’ Working the LA march blog which will be updated soon.

Fukushima Hemp Project Report & Article Links

The Fukushima Daiichi triple nuclear melt down is a potentially and unfortunately likely event unless we take dramatic steps now to secure it and other leaking nuclear power plants around the world, and there are many.

A special report has been compiled to explain how to use hemp, radiation eating mushrooms and other common sense solutions to this crisis.  We’ve pulled the best and most relevant articles from the web, combined it with additional insight, and present a solid solution, given sufficient time and resources, to prevent a nuclear holocaust as a result of ‘the peaceful atom’, or paraphrasing Albert Einstein, ‘one hell of a way to boil water.’ The word hell was never better used.

USA HEMP MUSEUM'S "FUKUSHIMA HEMP PROJECT"

USA HEMP MUSEUM'S FUKUSHIMA HEMP PROJECT is a dynamic look into how to use hemp to solve the nuclear crisis we are dealing with from Fukushima and other problem nuclear sites.  The primary research paper that is still in its draft stage is posted on this blog, with the heart of the piece on page 8 containing a summary of the proposed solution to the triple nuclear meltdowns going on at the severely damaged Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.

Richard M. Davis, founder and curator of the USA Hemp Museum, 1358 S. Flower Street, Los Angeles, announced the start of THE FUKUSHIMA HEMP PROJECT .  at the museum's weekend gatherings 12 noon - 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  The public is welcome.

The project's mission is to use hemp and other natural solutions to deal with the radiation coming off of the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan that was hit by a tsunami and multiple explosions in March, 2011.

"To deal with this crisis we must plant, consume, wear and speak hemp.

Wisdom dictates that especially when in a crisis, use effective solutions applied at the level of cause. Since our environmental problem is too much radiation from the Fukushima nuclear site, the solution is to use strategies that effectively remove and/or neutralize the effects of the radiation. " Davis said.

The USA Hemp Museum is the personal and professional collection of over 3,000 hemp related items owned by Davis, a hempologist since the 1960's and author of 3 books in his HEMP FOR VICTORY series, THE WONDER HERB, A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION and THE TRILLION DOLLAR CROP.

The draft paper, posted in an earlier blog entry is the result of decades of study and collecting hemp related items and systems.  It also incorporates a study of what survivors of other nuclear disasters did to survive. Remember, not everyone who was exposed to radiation dies of radiation exposure, some live long and happy lives. The purpose of this mission is so we can to.

How?

"We all know that hemp was helpful in cleaning up the toxins around Chernobyl, and with a bit of planning by a mastermind alliance, can be used to clean up the environmental mess from the excess radiation from the melt down in process at Fukushima.

The McGraw-Hill Companies reported in 2000 "Overall, phytoremediation has great potential for cleaning up toxic metals, pesticides, solvents, gasoline, and explosives." An immediate end to hemp prohibition will allow us to use this biomass champion in a hemp phytoremediation program.   "Phytoremediation can be defined as the decontamination of soil, sediment or water using plant growth. Industrial hemp, Cannabis sativa L., is renowned for its ability to grow rapidly. In one growing season, fiber hemp can yield 250 to 400 plants per square meter, with each plant reaching up to 5 meters in height. As a result, hemp has been identified as a plant with the potential to serve as a phytoremediator."

David added "The same way hemp was used to clean up the toxins around Chernobyl, we should be using hemp to clean up the toxins from the Gulf of Mexico "oil spill" (more like a volcano) and other environmental crisis situations.

There is a difference between political sense and common sense. Political sense says focus on elections, budgets, an occasional lynching as in Trayvon Martin, all part of business as usual. Common sense says that the radiation exposure crisis as a result of three nuclear meltdowns threatens every life on earth. Increased radiation equals an increase in cancer rates. It’s deeper than that. The crisis is already here."
In a historic article, radiation levels at Fukushima are “70 sieverts per hour inside the container, said Junichi Matsumoto, spokesman for Tokyo Electric Power Co” as reported by the Associated Press on March 27, 2012. “During a recent visit by a group of journalists including The Associated Press, the head of the plant said it remains vulnerable to strong aftershocks and tsunami and containing contaminated water and radiation is a challenge. Radioactive water had leaked into the ocean several times already. - Workers found the fresh leak of 120 tons from a water treatment unit this week from one of its hoses, with estimated 80 liters (20 gallons) escaping into the ocean, Matsumoto said. Officials are still investigating its impact.” The situation is in an uncontrollable criticality. Failure to deal with this crisis can have fatal consequences.
The best way to solve a problem is at the level of cause. Since the cause is a nuclear meltdown, the solution is to contain the melt-down (if possible), engage in large scale hemp planting to phytoremediate the soil and water. Since the problem is too much radiation, the solution is to reduce the radiation and enforce the body with nutrients that help fight or stave off cancer, like Rick Simpson's Cancer Cure Oil.  Hemp’s root system is about equal to its height and one of the most effective plants for removing the effects of many toxic disasters, including radiation. The report also has ideas and supporting documentation on how hemp building materials can help with nuclear entombment.
A crop financed international program could address the problem of excess radiation at the level of cause. There is so much room for research, especially considering that hemp plastic is 10 times stronger than steel, hemp crete is made from the longest fibers in nature, ropes, papers, fabrics, foods, so many NON-GMO foods to help conscious people be/stay healthy.
If you can only read a few pages check the overview on page 8. The Table of Contents links to the various articles in the piece that comprise this unique, peaceful solution.

This is a draft so please share your comments for possible inclusion in future updates.  Anything you can do to help prevent the potentially extinction level event known as Fukushima, please do it now.  The Blue Butterfly in Japan has already mutated.

PRESS RELEASE

Los Angels City Council Marijuana Decision Is Illegal

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA Hemp Hero Richard M. Davis, USA Hemp Museum’s founder and curator, author, hemp farmer and activist, is taking on the corrupt Los Angeles City Council’s decision to close down all but 100 medical marijuana dispensaries.  The press and public are invited to his museum, every Saturday and Sunday, 12 noon-6 p.m1358 S. Flower Street, Los Angeles, CA for a free museum tour.  Come by to discuss and implement effective ways to implement the hemp solution to our problems now.

Davis contends that despite a recent court ruling, the Council voted to take medicine away from sick people while turning the market over to 100 of their “lottery winners”.  He said “Once again, the City Council is in violation of the Will Of The People.  Their decision to shut down over 600 legal dispensaries, store front and mobile, is a violation of the July 2, 2012 Second Circuit Court decision (Los Angeles County Super. Ct. No. BC457089) regarding Prop 215, SB 420 and Health and Safety Code section 11362.5 is an obtuse abomination. The court’s decision reads:

‘We conclude state law preempts County’s ban. - DISPOSITION - The order granting a preliminary injunction is reversed, our stay of the injunction is dissolved when the remittitur issues from this court, and the matter is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion. Defendants are entitled to their costs on appeal.”  So who do they think they are? In light of the above decision, the council’s vote to close down most of the marijuana dispensaries reeks of all forms of corruption.”  Davis is asking the City Council to answer these questions for the people:

1.      Have you considered how many dispensary jobs will be lost as a result of your closing down not only over 600 legal marijuana dispensaries but stifling the growth of the mobile hemp industry?  What about the many service jobs lost?
2.      Have you considered the monopolies you will be creating among the 100 lucky lottery winners of dispensary owners?  How do we know that the lottery is not fixed to match contributions/bribes or other in kind donations?
3.      What about the Angelinos comfortable with their dispensary team that knows their case and condition, being forced to stand on even longer lines?
4.      What about the children who depend on their parent’s dispensary jobs for their education, their very lives?  What message does it send them?
5.      What benefit is it to the City Council members to impose these limitations? Could it be graft? Is it time to do the right thing?

Davis’ three books in his HEMP FOR VICTORY series A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION, THE WONDER HERB and THE TRILLION DOLLAR CROP are available on amazon. He has appeared on the History Channel and other media as a go to guy on this subject.  “The hemp solution can help with so many problems like Fukushima, world hunger, global warming, medical conditions, crashing economies and so much more.   Peter McWilliams said in his great book title DO IT! For more on the court decision and the 50,000 plus other uses for the miraculous marijuana plant, come by the USA Hemp Museum. Private and group tours by appointment".
