FREE MARC EMERY TOO!!!

What else must we do to end hemp prohibition now and encourage hemp use in medicine, environmental clean up, building materials, paper, textiles, foods, biomass & biofuels?

Hemp hero and seedologist Marc Emery surrendered to Canadian authorities for extradition to serve 5 years for selling hemp seeds on the internet. This is just wrong on so many levels that we ask you to research and consider the case against the Prince of Pot, Marc Emery.

"A defiant Marc Emery begins journey toward five-year U.S. prison term on drug charges" http://j.mp/tcgjV

"Marc Emery was escorted out of B.C. Supreme Court and into jail Monday to await extradition to the U.S.

His wife wailed and wept in the public gallery while cannabis crusaders who crowded the tiny courtroom chanted: "Free Marc Emery!"

As he was led away, Emery yelled to his wife: "I love you Jody Emery. Plant the seeds of freedom -- over grow the government."

He will be held for 30 days to give him time to appeal. Then, after the federal justice minister has signed the removal order, he'll be handed over to the U.S."

Another article for consideration:

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/09/28/marc-emery-surrender.html?ref=rss

"Before entering the B.C. Supreme Court, Emery spoke to a crowd of reporters and supporters outside, telling them he still believes Canada's drug laws prohibiting the use of marijuana are unjust and blaming the laws and the politicians who support them for creating the large criminal organizations that control the illegal trade in marijuana.

"There is no crime here. The politicians who support this extradition are supporters of organized crime. We are making criminals with laws like this," said Emery.

After his surrender, Emery was expected to be sent to North Fraser Pretrial Centre in Port Coquitlam, east of Vancouver, to await extradition to the U.S., a process the judge suggested will likely take a month to complete."

HEMP FOR VICTORY: A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION

HEMP FOR VICTORY A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION
READ THIS BOOK LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
IT DOES!!!

By Richard M. Davis, Founder & Curator
USA Hemp Museum www.hempmuseum.org

In recent reports by the world's top environmental scientists, the only thing listed that mankind can do to have an impact on global warming is to reduce the excess CO2 levels from the air.  Leaders from China, the United States and other nations are at least saying they are committed to fixing the problem with solutions that actually work.

The USA Hemp Museum's Founder and Curator, Richard M. Davis wrote HEMP FOR VICTORY A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION to explain how to use hemp to solve the problem of climate change.

Davis said "A critical, international state of emergency has been declared by many of the top scientists in the world about global warming. This week the leaders of China and the US spoke of the need to address climate change.  IT'S REAL!!!

To help save ourselves from the ravages of global warming, we must grow massive quantities of hemp all over the world to clean the air and provide bio fuel."

Covered in Davis' book are:  the problem of global warming, benefits of hemp, land use and availability, financing with a hemp tax, restoring the family farm to grow hemp, seeds, irrigation, growing techniques including hemp as a wind (vs. disappearing bee) pollinated plant, harvesting, processing, replacing toxic energy, how to use existing energy distribution systems for hemp fuel, and other benefits from re-hemping the earth.

Among the things you will learn in this book are:

Hemp is biomass champion, breathing in more carbon dioxide (the most abundant greenhouse gas) than any other plant. Hemp scrubs the air of excess CO2 gas - a contributing factor in global warming - as it grows.  Growing massive amounts of hemp - like what was done in the World War II HEMP FOR VICTORY program - can radically reduce the amount of CO2 gas in the atmosphere.

This carbon dioxide is turned into wood and fiber by photosynthesis.  Hemp wood takes the pressure off our forests, a great source of oxygen, by making paper and building materials like pressboard from hemp rather than wood.

When used as bio fuel, hemp replaces toxic with clean energy.  Whatever toxic energy can do, hemp can do better. Hemp does not pollute while it's powering everything that uses electrical current, including the power plant that produces electricity.  Hemp bio fuel can be processed to run any engine, heat or cool any building, run any factory, and eliminate the pollution that comes from modern energy sources.  Remove the cause, pollution, and the effect, global warming can at least be reduced, if not healed.  Hemp is also a champion at scrubbing the air as it grows of excess CO2 gas as it grows.

In HEMP FOR VICTORY: A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION scientist and hemp master Davis teaches about hemp fuel, land use and availability, financing with a hemp tax, restoring the family farm to grow hemp using at least 10% of unused federal land, seeds, irrigation, growing techniques, harvesting, processing. This book is based on the decades of research presented from the USA Hemp Museum™'s Bio-Fuels room. The Museum is also developing a HEMP FOR VICTORY plan to provide farmers with interactive growing and market information.

China's Hemp Policy Is Good For Environment

China's commitment raises climate pressures on US - ABC 092309

"UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – World leaders tried to inject momentum into climate change talks on Tuesday but new proposals by China and a rallying cry from U.S. President Barack Obama did little to break a United Nations deadlock."

The dismal response of the United States to the issue of climate change can be transformed in an instant.

The simple solution is to end hemp prohibition now. Hemp is a biomass champion at scrubbing the air of excess CO2 as it grows, from the day the seed is planted in soil. Hemp burns clean as biofuel and aerates soil up to six feet deep.  This vital tool for solving the climate crisis can make a radical difference in the quality of life on this planet.

China is doing its part by encouraging hemp farming.From the Shanghai Daily

Officials promote growing of hemp

National
2009-4-15

("This section of the website is restricted to subscribers only." the Shanghai Daily site now reads)

"OFFICIALS in southwest China's Yunnan Province are promoting the cultivation of hemp for industrial use to increase the income of local residents.

A hemp fiber processing factory with an annual capacity of 2,000 tonnes began production yesterday in Menghai County in Dai Autonomous Prefecture of Xishuangbanna, a mountainous region in Yunnan.

"The fiber from hemp is widely used to make socks and bulletproof clothes as well as top-grade suits," said Shi Dongming, board chairman of China Hemp Industrial Holding Investment Co Ltd, which runs the production line.

Local officials expect the plant to help raise the living standard of farmers."

The United States should do the same and not only end hemp prohibition, but encourage hemp commerce. The more hemp we grow, the more excess CO2 we remove from the atmosphere.

A Course In Miracles

Using hemp as part of the prayer experience brings calm to one's animal nature so the spirit can fly.

A Course In Miracles is by Helen Schucman and William Thetford, who were Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City.

In “A Course In Miracles" are references to “Heaven’s gate” which is also the Rastafarian word for religious hemp.

Bill of Rights “Amendment I: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Below is a first run of references to the gates of heaven, heavens’s gate etc. found in A Course In Miracles.  This information is presented in chronological order as found in the book for discussion purposes as deeper research is being conducted into the use of hemp in prayer.

A.  TEXT, Chapter 25, THE JUSTICE OF GOD VIII. Justice Returned to Love – p. 536 7.4
4 And what escape has He for them except a door to hell that seems to look like Heaven's gate?
T-25.VIII.7. So do they think the loss of sin a curse. 2 And flee the Holy Spirit as if He were a messenger from hell, sent from above, in treachery and guile, to work God's vengeance on them in the guise of a deliverer and friend. 3 What could He be to them except a devil, dressed to deceive within an angel's cloak. 4 And what escape has He for them except a door to hell that seems to look like Heaven's gate?
+++
B.  TEXT Chapter 26 THE TRANSITION – IV – Where Sin Has Left p. 548 1.4
4 And what is charity within the world gives way to simple justice past the gate that opens into Heaven.
IV. Where Sin Has Left
T-26.IV.1. Forgiveness is this world's equivalent of Heaven's justice. 2 It translates the world of sin into a simple world, where justice can be reflected from beyond the gate behind which total lack of limits lies. 3 Nothing in boundless love could need forgiveness. 4 And what is charity within the world gives way to simple justice past the gate that opens into Heaven. 5 No one forgives unless he has believed in sin, and still believes that he has much to be forgiven. 6 Forgiveness thus becomes the means by which he learns he has done nothing to forgive. 7 Forgiveness always rests upon the one who offers it, until he sees himself as needing it no more. 8 And thus is he returned to his real function of creating, which his forgiveness offers him again.
+++
C.  TEXT THE TRANSITION IV. Where Sin Has Left p. 549 6.1
This tiny spot of sin that stands between you and your brother still is holding back the happy opening of Heaven's gate.
T-26.IV.6. This tiny spot of sin that stands between you and your brother still is holding back the happy opening of Heaven's gate. 2 How little is the hindrance that withholds the wealth of Heaven from you. 3 And how great will be the joy in Heaven when you join the mighty chorus to the Love of God!
+++
D.  TEXT Chapter 26 THE TRANSITION V. The Little Hindrance p. 550 2.4-5
4 Think not the way to Heaven's gate is difficult at all.
T-26.V.2. Nothing is ever lost but time, which in the end is meaningless. 2 For it is but a little hindrance to eternity, quite meaningless to the real Teacher of the world. 3 Yet since you do believe in it, why should you waste it going nowhere, when it can be used to reach a goal as high as learning can achieve? 4 Think not the way to Heaven's gate is difficult at all. 5 Nothing you undertake with certain purpose and high resolve and happy confidence, holding your brother's hand and keeping step to Heaven's song, is difficult to do. 6 But it is hard indeed to wander off, alone and miserable, down a road that leads to nothing and that has no purpose.
+++
E.  TEXT Chapter 26 THE TRANSITION V. The Little Hindrance p. 552 14.3
3 You have gone on, and reached the world that lies at Heaven's gate.
T-26.V.14. Forgive the past and let it go, for it is gone. 2 You stand no longer on the ground that lies between the worlds. 3 You have gone on, and reached the world that lies at Heaven's gate. 4 There is no hindrance to the Will of God, nor any need that you repeat again a journey that was over long ago. 5 Look gently on your brother, and behold the world in which perception of your hate has been transformed into a world of love.
+++
F.  WORKBOOK LESSON 134 10.4
4 Forgiveness stands between illusions and the truth; between the world you see and that which lies beyond; between the hell of guilt and Heaven's gate.
W-134.10. Thus will you see alternatives for choice in terms that render choosing meaningful, and keep your mind as free of guilt and pain as God Himself intended it to be, and as it is in truth. 2 It is but lies that would condemn. 3 In truth is innocence the only thing there is. 4 Forgiveness stands between illusions and the truth; between the world you see and that which lies beyond; between the hell of guilt and Heaven's gate.
+++
G.  WORKBOOK LESSON 193 13.5
5 And then you hold the key that opens Heaven's gate, and brings the Love of God the Father down to earth at last, to raise it up to Heaven.
W-193.13. This is the lesson God would have you learn: There is a way to look on everything that lets it be to you another step to Him, and to salvation of the world. 2 To all that speaks of terror, answer thus:
3 I will forgive, and this will disappear.
4 To every apprehension, every care and every form of suffering, repeat these selfsame words. 5 And then you hold the key that opens Heaven's gate, and brings the Love of God the Father down to earth at last, to raise it up to Heaven. 6 God will take this final step Himself. 7 Do not deny the little steps He asks you take to Him.
+++
H.  WORKBOOK LESSON 194 1.3
3 Your foot has reached the lawns that welcome you to Heaven's gate; the quiet place of peace, where you await with certainty the final step of God.
I place the future in the Hands of God.
W-194.1. Today's idea takes another step toward quick salvation, and a giant stride it is indeed! 2 So great the distance is that it encompasses, it sets you down just short of Heaven, with the goal in sight and obstacles behind. 3 Your foot has reached the lawns that welcome you to Heaven's gate; the quiet place of peace, where you await with certainty the final step of God. 4 How far are we progressing now from earth! 5 How close are we approaching to our goal! 6 How short the journey still to be pursued!
+++
I.  WORKBOOK LESSON 263
2. And while we still remain outside the gate of Heaven, let us look on all we see through holy vision and the eyes of Christ.
W-263.2. And while we still remain outside the gate of Heaven, let us look on all we see through holy vision and the eyes of Christ. 2 Let all appearances seem pure to us, that we may pass them by in innocence, and walk together to our Father's house as brothers and the holy Sons of God.
+++
J. WORKBOOK LESSON 342.
1. 5 I stand before the gate of Heaven, wondering if I should enter in and be at home.
W-342.1.I thank You, Father, for Your plan to save me from the hell I made. 2 It is not real. 3 And You have given me the means to prove its unreality to me. 4 The key is in my hand, and I have reached the door beyond which lies the end of dreams. 5 I stand before the gate of Heaven, wondering if I should enter in and be at home. 6 Let me not wait again today. 7 Let me forgive all things, and let creation be as You would have it be and as it is. 8 Let me remember that I am Your Son, and opening the door at last, forget illusions in the blazing light of truth, as memory of You returns to me.

Jack Herer Is In The Hospital

It is difficult to find a hempster whose life has not been touched by Jack Herer.  His book, THE EMPEROR WEARS NO CLOTHES is legendary. The USA Hemp Museum's founder and curator Richard M. Davis credits Jack Herer and Willie Nelson as his museum's inspiration, showcasing the work of both men in his HEMP FOR VICTORY book series.

Without a peep in mainstream media, social media like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube this weekend was the best source for news about 'what's up with Jack?'.

420 Magazine reports:

"Emperor of Hemp' Jack Herer Fighting For His Life After Heart Attack At Hempstalk

Noted activist and author Jack Herer, "The Emperor of Hemp," is fighting for his life after giving an impassioned speech at the Portland (OR) HempStalk festival Saturday, Sept 12. Herer left the stage and collapsed with an apparently serious heart attack, according to fellow activist Chris Conrad, who was one the scene."

From salem-news.com.

"Ironically, Jack told our Doctor Phil Leveque, an old friend of his in the fight to legitimize and legalize marijuana, that he was feeling better Saturday than he had, "In...ten years."

Event staff came together quickly and called in the paramedic crew that treated Jack in the area backstage where he fell ill. Madeline Martinez, Executive Director of Oregon NORML, the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, says Jack didn't look like he felt well after the well received speech, and she told him he should get some water. Shortly after that he apparently collapsed where he was sitting, and the emergency crews were called in."

The blog Reality Checker reminds us that Jack Herer has come back from another health crisis.

"In July 2000, Herer suffered a minor heart attack and a major stroke, resulting in difficulties speaking and moving the right side of his body. He mostly recovered, and said in May 2004 that treatment with the psychoactive mushroom amanita muscaria was the secret."

Below is a piece from the USA Hemp Museum of Herer after his July, 2000 stroke speaking with passion at the late Sister Somayah's Los Angeles Million Marijuana March.

If anybody can come back from a massive heart attack, it's Jack Herer.  Please, come back Jack.

State High Court Denies Religious Freedom In Arizona

Though religious freedom is guaranteed in the constitution, in Arizona, if you use the plant known in religious circles as "Heaven's Gate", hemp, "there is no constitutional right to use marijuana."  Danny Ray Hardesty and his wife have a church that uses hemp as a prayer tool, like the Catholic church uses the rosary & wine. The Jewish religion also uses wine as part of their prayer service.  Both were able to do so even through the prohibition of alcohol on religious grounds.

"At an evidentiary hearing regarding the religious use defense, Hardesty presented evidence that marijuana is the main religious sacrament of the Church of Cognizance" the court decision explains.  Yet, they lost Hardesty's appeal of a hemp charge based on religious freedom.

Once again the will of the government is more important than the will of the people.

From the court decision on  freedom in Arizona to pray

"III. CONCLUSION

Although religious exercise may provide a valid defense under A.R.S. § 41-1493.01, in the circumstances of this case, Hardesty’s defense fails as a matter of law. We affirm the judgment of the trial court and vacate the opinion of the court of appeals.

Rebecca White Berch, Chief Justice

CONCURRING:

Andrew D. Hurwitz, Vice Chief Justice

Because Hardesty is asserting a FERA defense to criminal charges, the issue is whether a less restrictive statute or regulation would have excused the conduct for which he was convicted. For example, apart from the specific statutory exemption under A.R.S. § 13-3402(B), a member of the Native American Church charged with possession of peyote might be able to assert that a less restrictive governmental regulation than a total ban would serve the government’s interest. The analysis would be different, however, if the charged criminal use occurred while the defendant was driving a school bus.

Hardesty was convicted of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He made no argument concerning the drug paraphernalia charge, apparently tying his conviction on that charge to his religious use defense on the possession charge. Because Hardesty’s religious use defense fails, we affirm the conviction on the paraphernalia charge as well as the possession charge.

Michael D. Ryan, Justice
W. Scott Bales, Justice
Ruth V. McGregor, Justice (Retired)"

That can't be right, but it is.

"The unanimous decision in Arizona v. Hardesty rejected Danny Ray Hardesty's argument that he was entitled to employ the same defense allowed for peyote use in Native American sacramental rites." reported the AP.   He argued that the free exercise clauses of the Arizona and Federal Constitutions, Arizona’s Free Exercise of Religion Act(“FERA”), and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 protected him.

What is compelling the government to deny interaction with a non-toxic hemp plant?  Could it be greed, control, or just plain evil that is causing the government to take this stand between the Lord and His creations?

Presidents Jefferson and Washington grew hemp.  Why would they have in their intention making their plantations illegal?  How would that work? George Washington said "MAKE THE MOST OF THE HEMP SEED, SOW IT EVERYWHERE."  In modern times based on current law, Presidents Washington and Jefferson are criminals rather than founding fathers.

So let us get this straight because almost eleven years ago the people of Arizona, following California's Prop. 215 lead in 1996, voted hemp legal.

There is no such thing as the freedom to pray in Arizona other than in ways prescribed by the court.  We can only address the Lord as the government sees fit.

So much for separation of church and state.

For more on how hemp is used in prayer and religion, visit the USA Hemp Museum .

Hemp Salve - Cannabis: Potential treatment for skin disorders?

From Rev. Tom Brown
Subject: Cannabis: Potential treatment for skin disorders?

"New research by Polish scientists, Piotr Kupczyk, Adam Reich and Jacek Szepietowski has uncovered a potential use for medicinal cannabis. Skin disorders are the focus in the study, Cannabinoid system in the skin – a possible target for future therapies in dermatology which was released in May of this year by the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Wroclaw Medical University.

Other research has uncovered the existence of two types of cannabinoid receptors in the body. They are called CB1 and CB2. It is thought that CB1 receptors reside primarily in the central nervous systm. The CB2 receptors are thought to be located in other parts of the body like the immune system, certain organs, and peripheral nerves.

According to Kupczyk, Reich, and Szepietowski, large nerve fiber bundles in the top and deeper layers of skin have been shown to contain CB2 receptors. CB1 receptors were located on nerve fibers in the epidermis and have been located in the inner hair root and hair follicle.

The researchers expressed excitement that cannabinoids might provide future treatment for inflammatory skin disorders, pruritus, and certain types of skin pain, but warn that more research is necessary to gain further insight into the physiology of cannabinoid receptors in the skin. Kupczyk, Reich, and Szepietowski also acknowledge recent observations showing cannabinoids as a potential anti-tumor drug."

Hemp's Peace Pipe Helps Reduce Crime

For centuries we've known that when the problem is violence the solution is the peace pipe and the unique opportunity it gives us to create balance to differences. The US  government, in an effort to support large corporations including Prison, Inc., made the peace pipe illegal and has thrown millions into jail for interacting with a plant.  The desired violence has generally grown, until now.

Though there are many problems with the states medical marijuana law, primary being one has to be sick and rich enough to afford a doctor to legally consume hemp.  Hemp's healing ability is legally denied to the poor and broke, the slavery system still firmly in place.

However, enough folks have access to medical grade hemp that we are seeing some astounding trends in crime statistics during these difficult economic times.

With the exception of the occasional dispensary robbery, there is no evidence to show an increase in crime with direct connection to medical marijuana dispensaries. Even with these robberies in mind, it stands to question why any place is robbed.

After analyzing the numbers, it seems strange that anyone would try to say medical marijuana causes any crime. If anything, the data shows quite the opposite. "
