The Lord has a sense of humor, really. Turns out a plant that is now illegal holds the key to solving the oil crisis in the Gulf.
From what Willie Nelson calls A Peaceful Solution, nature's hemp plant, we have a full arsenal of tools in this weed's various grades of THC to fight this crisis in fields as vast as medical, industrial, environmental, economic and agricultural.
The potential consequences from this environmental crisis in the Gulf of Mexico and beyond are way too precise to ignore.
Hemp is a no brainer in dealing with this oil crisis. Since the problem is too many toxins in the environment, the solution is to stop the inflow and clean up the mess. The hemp plant has a multitude of applications to the problem of the oil industry messing up the Gulf of Mexico and the lives of her citizens. Consider hemp as the illegal solution. The good news is a simple Executive Order signed by the president ending hemp prohibition. As citizens we declare the need for this century's Hemp For Victory program, using the original as the program's nucleus.
How? Here's a few ways for openers?
Hemp medicine, which assists with respiratory and digestive problems helps deal with the toxic chemicals people are being exposed to like benzene and methane.
Hemp is a wind pollinated plant that has a short growing season. Hemp foods can help replace the whole in the food supply caused by not eating fish from the Gulf or possibly the east coast by the time hurricane season finishes.
Hemp's environment benefits are deep as its up to 6' root system aerates soil and converts many toxins into wood. Hemp should be planted in all toxic areas to help clean the soil.
Hemp building materials are strong, i.e. hemp plastic is 10 times stronger than steel according to Henry Ford. A company that specializes is HempPlastic.com , a material that should be considered for use to plug up the underwater volcanoes.
Industrial hemp can help build homes in the event we have to relocate large populations on unused federal land because of coastal cities rendered uninhabitable. An exciting hemp tool is concrete made from hemp. A good site for more information and purchase is Hempcrete.com
We have 4 blog entries by the USA Hemp Museum, www.hempmuseum.org of initial ideas on how hemp can be applied to this oil spill (volcano). The museum's founder and curator, Richard M. Davis. Davis is a leader of the groundswell of support for a new HEMP FOR VICTORY program based on the successful World War II program.
Below are a short series of research from the Museum, with much more to follow. Please add your thoughts as we re-institute the Hemp For Victory program.
Benzene, methane and other toxic chemicals are in the air and water in the Gulf. Hemp medicine can help, yet, we still need to be moving large populations away from that toxic area.
That hemp can help clean up the oil spill and shift us from toxic energy is a no-brainer. The President has called for ideas, yet pretends not to know how hemp can help us solve our problems. Below are a few ideas for how hemp can help with the oil spill followed by more information on the people who the President is calling on for solutions.
2. Use hemp plastic, 10 times stronger than steel according to Henry Ford, to plug up the holes. Hempcrete can be used to entomb the damaged pipe. A great work on plastics that is out of print but there is a copy at the USA Hemp Museum is from the series "Speaking of Plastics" THE STORY OF CELLULOSICS.
3. Shift to hemp biofuel and biomass, solar, algae, hydro, magnetic and other clean, safe and in some cases free energies. Nature supplies us with all the energy we need in non toxic forms. A touch of common sense can create a positive energy policy where oil spills and mining accidents are reduced based on lack of demand for toxic energy.
4. Use hemp foods to fill the upcoming hole in the food supply caused by a dramatic reduction in seafood production. Delicious, nutritious and easily renewable.
6. Use hemp's economic empowerment muscle to repair damage done to the economy by the oil spill and other contributing factors.
7. Build a "Mastermind Alliance" of folks who know how to use hemp to help us solve our problems.
Share these ideas and others with the President's team of great minds charged with resolving this crisis.
The USA Hemp Museum has a mini museum for $250 that contains many samples of hemp products like those mentioned here, books and other hemp samples for educational presentations. Richard M. Davis, the museum's founder and curator, sent President Obama a free mini museum last year, along with the three books in his HEMP FOR VICTORY series A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION, THE WONDER HERB and THE TRILLION DOLLAR CROP. So far, no word back.
H4VTT$C is an in depth museum tour of articles and artifacts that prove hemp is the solution to our economic crisis. This simple work has the ability to conclude the ridiculous conversation; Can hemp help heal our economy too?In essence, since hemp was a billion dollar crop in 1938, as explained in the famous Popular Science article, by any economic calculator, the USA’s number one cash crop is at least a mostly tax-free trillion dollar crop.
This rare voice of sanity lays out the overwhelmingly positive scientific perspective on commercial hemp. As more voices ask for the open dialog long sought by those opposed to the needless waste of the so-called War On Drugs the value of this new book becomes self-evident.
Career politicians prove once again that campaign promises regularly become orphaned IOUs with little likelihood of ever being redeemed. At best they can only follow the lead of knowledgeable citizens and the USA Hemp Museum provides this book for citizens curious about the science regarding commercial hemp.
If we do not allow science to drive policy then policy becomes driven by ideology. History provides ample evidence on the predictable failure of policy driven by ideology.”
It was announced that California is in a budget crisis and going broke. The report is that the state will be out of funds by the spring.
The great and wonderful Tommy Chong said in a/k/a Tommy Chong: A Film By Josh Gilbert 'if the people elect Arnold, then we are truly a nation of retards.' Based on results, as usual Chong was right, unless another stolen election was in the mix.
The Terminator has almost terminated the state's budget while denying hemp, the will of the people as voiced in Prop 215, even though he inhaled.
It is continued insanity to pretend not to know we can solve our economic crisis with hemp.
California will run out of money by the spring UNLESS they immediately remove all restrictions from the hemp plant and generate a tax revenue from the state's #1 cash crop immediately.
Tax industrial and medical grades at standard business rates and recreational hemp at 20%. If any state gets up to 20% on all recreational hemp sold, there would be no budget crisis.
How? Legalization and large scale hemp growing would bring the price down to about $100 an ounce...plus a $20 tax. There are millions of high grade hemp consumers who would gladly pay the tax to remove the drama.
In this year's election hemp won in 9 out of 10 states where it was on the ballot. The will of the government got us into this mess. The Will of the People, hemp, can get us out.

HEMP: NATURE'S SOLUTION FOR ENERGY & CO2 POLLUTION
The above webeo may prove to have historic significance in turning the tides of our energy and excess CO2 global warming problems. Hemp produces clean energy and removes excess CO2 from the air as it grows.
"Fuel. Hemp can also be used for the production of methanol.
According to World War II production rates of hemp per acre, we can produce the equivalent of 10 - 15 barrels of oil from one acre of hemp.
If we use the production rates that are in evidence in countries currently producing hemp, we could produce the equivalents of 20-30 barrels of oil per acre of hemp.
Can we fuel the nation with hemp?
The answer is YES!
According to United States Agricultural statistics, in the United States we have an excess of 950 million acres of farm land.
Of that land we planted in 1987 some 450 million acres.
This leaves some 450 to 500 million acres un-planted.
In order to produce the amount of methanol to fuel all of our transportation needs, we would need to plant some 12-34 million acres of hemp.
This would produce the biomass necessary to fuel our country."
This webeo explains how in 1980's energy needs, we could grow our way out of the energy crisis with hemp using only 34 million acres of unused farmland. If our energy needs quadrupled since then, we're only talking about 136 million acres of farmland to grow enough energy to power our needs. Double 136 and it's still only 272 million acres of farmland to solve our energy and have an impact on our environmental crisis. The aftermarket products that come from this vast resource material can have a positive impact on our economy and health care (life empowerment) systems.
Since hemp is a weed, it can grow in many places, inside and out, to contribute to solving our problems now. We're talking hemp biofuel and biomass to power engines cleanly while removing excess CO2, the cause of global warming, from the air as it grows.
YES, WE CAN DO IT NOW!!! WE JUST NEED TO THROW OFF THE LAWS OF DEAD PEOPLE THAT ARE KILLING US, LIKE HEMP BEING ILLEGAL TO GROW.
Hemp is nature's way to remove the oil from the land and change it into useful items like energy.
Hemp is a biomass champion that is 4 times more efficient than corn as biofuel.
Hemp energy pellets burn clean as biomass to fuel the nation's electric plants.
Anything toxic energy can do, hemp can do better.
The question is 'How many hemp acres do we need to grow our way out of this energy crisis in modern times?' The next logical question is how much hemp do we need to grow to remove enough CO2 to have a reversal impact on the global warming crisis. Research on the second will be posted shortly in a separate blog entry.
Looking beyond the webeo above, let's get to real world calculations. The film clip from Time4Hemp's webeo from the film the BILLION DOLLAR CROP does not explain if they calculated one or 4 crops per year per acre.
We're looking at different energy reference sites for how much energy do we need as a nation and as a planet, given the reality that we all are one. Below are some research links we're using, and will post others here for consideration.
'How many acres do we need to grow our way out of this energy crisis?'
"Total world energy use rises from 462 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu) in 2005 to 563 quadrillion Btu in 2015 and then to 695 quadrillion Btu in 2030 (Figure 1). Global energy demand grows despite the sustained high world oil prices that are projected to persist over the long term. "
2. How many "barrels" "acres" can exceed the nation and the world's projected energy needs?
Of course an effective energy strategy is one that combines clean energies like wind, solar, hydro, magnetic and other biofuels. Working together, we can create a better world for future generations, the real purpose of life.
Tell the politicians, 'we don't need no toxic energy.' Any energy strategy that can hurt us and/or generations ahead should be turned off and replaced with clean, natural and in some cases free energy.
For more information on hemp please visit the USA Hemp Museum, a private museum with a virtual wing. Richard M. Davis is the museum's founder and curator and he has a book called HEMP FOR VICTORY: A GLOBAL WARMING SOLUTION which is a great piece on how to use hemp to solve the problem of global warming.
Davis is proposing using the successful WWII Hemp For Victory program and solve the problems of global warming and our growing energy needs. We'll be posting his projections here soon and please share your thoughts on this blog.
All honest thought is welcomed. We can overcome with hemp.
